Periwinkle! I say and smile.

“Rhinoceros,” said John Updike’s daughter

And laughed, as he recalled.

So the Times reported today.

Big words are good for kids to learn,

Updike advised.

And for the grown-ups to say, I say.

Periwinkle is the color of the sky today,

Looking west,

Pristine early before the fog comes.
